Martí Boada Juncà is a professor and researcher at the Department of Geography and at the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His main research fields include conservation, biodiversity, global change, and environmental communication. He is a member of the Club of Rome and of the international committee for Education and Communication for the International Union for Conservation of Nature, a member of the Spanish Committee of the United Nations Environment Programme, and a member of UNESCO’s Man and Biosphere Program. He is a recipient of the United Nations Global Forum 500 Award.
