Kartikeya Sarabhai is the UNESCO Chair on Education for Sustainable Development and the Human Habitat. He is the Co-chair of the Earth Charter International Council. Kartikeya is the founder and director of the Centre for Environment Education, a Centre of Excellence of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India. In 2012, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India in recognition of his exceptional and distinguished service in the field of environmental education.
